At a time when smart homes are developing rapidly, smart sockets, as basic and practical devices, have brought great convenience to people's lives. They can remotely control electrical switches, monitor power usage, and realize timed power on and off functions.

 1. Working principle of smart socket

The smart socket consists of a power supply, control, communication module and load interface. The power module converts the mains voltage, the control module processes instructions, the communication module is responsible for information exchange, and the load interface connects to electrical appliances. Users send instructions through the mobile phone APP, which are transmitted to the control module through the communication module, control the circuit on and off, and realize remote operation of electrical appliances.

2. Application of VBQF1303 in smart socket

1. Circuit on-off control

VBQF1303 is an N-channel MOS tube. It turns on when the gate-source voltage exceeds the 1.7V threshold, allowing the smart socket to power the appliance. It turns off when it is lower than this value, cutting off the power supply. Its gate-source voltage allows a range of ±20V, which is safe. Moreover, its on-resistance is as low as 4-5mΩ. During the frequent power on and off of the smart socket, it generates less heat and consumes less energy. It can respond to commands efficiently and accurately, and realize stable power supply control for the appliance.

With a maximum drain current carrying capacity of 60A, VBQF1303 can handle normal use and instantaneous current shocks. When the power of the appliance connected to the smart socket is too large and the current exceeds the limit, it will monitor the circuit feedback, adjust its gate voltage, increase the on-resistance to limit the current, and cut off the circuit when necessary. Moreover, it can automatically resume conduction after the overload is removed without manual operation, effectively protecting the smart socket and connected appliances from damage due to overload.

The voltage drop and current when VBQF1303 is turned on can be used to calculate the real-time power of the appliance, providing a data basis for the power monitoring function of the smart socket, so that users can understand the power consumption of the appliance. Its stable on-resistance and precise parameter characteristics, combined with the monitoring circuit, can achieve high-precision power monitoring without affecting the normal operation of the appliance, providing a basis for users to save energy.

1. Withstand voltage

The 30V withstand voltage value can meet the needs of smart sockets under mains power (220V AC) and certain fluctuations, avoiding damage due to voltage problems and ensuring long-term stable operation.

The maximum drain current of 60A can meet the scenario of connecting multiple high-power electrical appliances to the smart socket, ensuring normal operation during peak power consumption.

3. On-resistance
